Adam Bihn, Jr.

Mr. Adam Bihn, Jr. passed away on February 14, 2007 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 93. Mr. Bihn was born in Portland on March 24, 1913 to Adam and Katherine Bihn. He was raised and educated here. He served the United States Army during World War Two and was stationed in Guam. On February 22, 1936 he married Helen Lind. His parents owned the Lincoln Park Grocery Store and Adam and his brother Donald operated the store after his parents died. He worked at the store until he retired at age 74. Mr. Bihn was a longtime member of the Word of Life Community Church (formerly the Evangelical Congregational Church and was originally known as the 2nd German Congregational Church). He was preceded in death by his daughter Karen Eileen Bihn in 1964, and by his wife Helen in 1997. He is survived by his daughters Nancy Verville and Charlene Fleger; his brother Harold Bihn; Six Grandchildren and Five Great-grandchildren.
