Alma Wulff Johnson

Alma Wulff Johnson was born Oct. 23, 1925, to Hans Peter and Bessie Carlson Jensen. At 18 months old, she was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Chris and Laura Wulff. She passed away peacefully Nov. 19, 2014, surrounded by loved ones.

In 1947, Alma married Marv Johnson. Both were Parkrose High School graduates and they raised their three children in the Parkrose area. She taught for many years in the Rockwood school district. She was active in the Danish Sisterhood, Kappa Kappa Iota and Harmony Lodge.

Alma loved to travel, particularly to Denmark where she had extended family. She loved going to their cabin at the beach, working in the garden, sharing her favorite books and having a good laugh. She was a joy to all!

Alma is survived by her husband of 67 years, Marvin L. Johnson; daughters, Christie Masterson (John) and Debbie Johnson; daughter-in-law, Joyce Johnson; and grandchildren, Cassy Johnson-Hodge (Alex), Daniel Masterson (Jen), Ryan Masterson and Erica Johnson. Her son, Craig Johnson, also died Nov. 19, 2014.

Her family is so grateful for Daniella and all her caregivers for making her last year and half so happy and safe.

Alma's love, positive nature and humor will be greatly missed. Her memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014, at Central Lutheran Church, 1820 N.E. 21st Ave., Portland, OR 97212. A private burial has already taken place in Rose City Cemetery & Funeral Home.
