Barbara Karambelas

Barbara Karambelas passed away peacefully in the presence of friends and neighbors at Willamette View Health Center.
Barbara Vassilakos was born in Petrina, Greece 87 years ago. In 1955, she traveled to New York to stay with relatives and married Kirk Karambelas there in 1958. She moved to Portland with Kirk, made their home and raised a family there. She was employed as a seamstress with various companies in Portland until her retirement.
Barbara is survived by sisters, Potoula Patrianakos of Toronto, and Voula Lahanidou of Athens, Greece, son Randy (Lori), daughter Linda Karafotias (Nick) and grandchildren, Jeffrey and Elizabeth. Husband Kirk passed away in 2012.
Trisagion and funeral service will be 11:00 AM, January 4, 2020, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral Endowment Fund.
