Becky Ann Swanson

A private Celebration of Life Gathering was held for Becky by the family.  Becky passed away suddenly on March 25, 2017, she was 60 years old.

Becky Ann was born March 8, 1957 in Vancouver, Washington to Tommie Vernoy and Virginia Dorothy (Bertrand) Swafford. She was the youngest of 9 children. Raised in Vancouver she attended Our Lady of Lourdes Grade school and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Portland.  She lived most of her life in the area and has worked for Federal Express as a courier driver for over 29 years, retiring this January. While there at work she spied a man that caught her eye and being “Becky” she walked right up to him and asked him out. Just over a year later Douglas “Doug” and Becky were married in Portland surrounded by their family and friends love and support on October 28, 1995. Becky loved the outdoors and she and Doug spent many a weekend traveling throughout Oregon and Washington enjoying the beach, forest and desert as well as visiting Arizona to look for an assortment of rocks as a rock hound while seeing her sister in the high desert.

Becky will be missed greatly by her friends and surviving family members; Husband Doug, Brothers; Marc, Daniel, Gerard, Ronald, Thomas and Philip Swafford, Sisters; Connie Grenz and Vicki Myers.
