Bernice Loretta Gosney passed away May 14th, 2016. She was born at the family farm in Burleigh County North Dakota to Ellen Buen Gosney and Lloyd Walter Gosney. She was preceded in passing by her sisters Martha Ann Gosney, Cora Osterhoudt and brother Floyd Gosney. She is survived by cousin LeIsla Rippe and several second cousins. She graduated from Bismarck ND HS. During WWII she moved to Portland Oregon and was employed until retirement by Michelin Tire Company and its acquired predecessors.
After retirement she and Martha travelled throughout Europe, Asia the United States and Canada. She was an avid reader and supported numerous charitable organizations. She and Martha owned cabin at Ocean Park, Washington where they spent many weekends with family and friends at the Long Beach, and clam digging. In lieu of flowers we ask donations be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children 3101 SW Sam Jackson Park Road Portland, OR 97239.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. June 2, 2015 at Rose City Funeral Cemetery and Funeral Home, 5625 NE Fremont Street, Portland, OR 97213
