Graveside services will be held, 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 20th at Rose City Cemetery. Betty Alice Fifield passed away on February 6, 2013 in Portland, Oregon. She was 83 years old.
Betty was born on June 19, 1929 in Eugene, Oregon to Lawrence and Rosella (Patten) Rumford. She was the 2nd eldest of four children. She graduated from Girls Polytechnic High School, class of 1947. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, going to the beach, gardening, and was known to be a gift giver. Betty was an excellent listener and friend. She always enjoyed her parakeets. She will be deeply missed.
Betty is survived by her children: Nita Davidson, Carol Stauss, Gary Fifield, Curt Fifield, Cathy Merlan, and Diana Frey: 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, Siblings: Donald Rumford and Katherine Fox. She was predeceased by her daughter: Sherry Fifield and sister Dorothy Jackson.
