Byron was born on June 22, 1954 in Anchorage, Alaska to Harry and Dorothy Nudd. He also lived in Duluth, Minnesota and Honolulu, Hawaii before moving to Vancouver. He was a graduate of Evergreen High School and Mt. Hood Community College. Byron served in the Air Force from 1972 until 1976. He has lived in Battle Ground, WA for the last 22 years. Byron was a funeral director and had been the manager of the Killingsworth Little Chapel of the Chimes in Portland, Memorial Gardens Mortuary in Vancouver, and currently was the manager of Rose City Funeral Home of Portland, OR. He was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Brush Prairie Washington. Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife, Greta Peterson, whom he married on July 21st, 1978, his three daughters, Christina (Ramon) Tapani of Woodland, WA, Melanie (Daniel) Granger of Marengo, WI, and Sara (James) Schmeusser of Kalispell, MT, and his two sons, Alex (Katie) Nudd of Belle Fourche, SD, and Ross Nudd of Battle Ground, WA. Byron is also survived by his father, Harry C. Nudd, of San Diego, CA, and his sister, Deborah Nudd of Encinitas, CA, along with fourteen grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Byron enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors and his family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Nudd.
