Carolyn Ann Van Gorder Cosper
Cosper, Carolyn Ann Van Gorder 73 Aug. 19, 1939 July 31, 2013 Carolyn Cosper, of Portland, passed away peacefully on July 31. She suffered no pain or distress, but passed serenely at home, as was her wish, with family present. Her life's journey has ended, but those who knew her will remember her as a lively, happy, fun-loving gal. Carolyn married Dale Cosper, her high school sweetheart, on June 30, 1957. Together, they raised three children, Karen, Kevin and Gary, to whom she was The World's Greatest Mom. She loved laughter, old-time country music, breakfast out and having dessert with family and friends. She was a hard worker and spoke her mind; she also brought warmth, fun and happiness to those whose life she touched. Carolyn was buried at Rose City Cemetery on Aug. 2. To honor her memory, let us not dwell on her passing, but carry on her legacy of a zest for life, as she would want us to do. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family warmly suggests you enjoy breakfast out with family, or meet with friends for pie and coffee; kick off your shoes and have fun!
