Cassie Lee Davis was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 12th, 1951, and brought home to her mother and father, Sarah Mae and Elmira Davis. She was one of 12 Davis children: Gladys, Shirley, Mae Francis, Elmira, Elmer Jr., Quida, Allene, Celestine, Edith, Martha Mae and Nathan.
She graduated from Portland’s Washington High School in 1970, then went on to further her education at Phagan Beauty School. She was a well-respected hair stylist in Portland, Oregon, working at Love Lee Ladies beauty salon. She also earned acclaim as a model & attended hair shows statewide.
She had 1 son, Eric Robinson, with Ed Robinson. In 1971 she married Alvin Benjamin; they had 1 son, Antonio Benjamin.
Cassie Lee was a woman of many strengths. One of her greatest was the ability to love unconditionally. Not only was she a great mother, but she became an even greater grandmother of 9 and great-grandmother of 5. Cassie Lee was a well-mannered and sophisticated woman who lived her life with great vision and courage, and put a smile on the faces of all who were blessed to call her friend.
