Charles Edward Bessette, Sr

Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 2:00pm, Saturday July 26 ^th at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1816 NW Irving St, Portland, OR 97209. Charles Edward Bessette was born February 12, 1939 in Anaconda, Montana the 2nd youngest of ten children born to Paul and Rena (Gaungnoir) Bessette.  Raised in Montana he graduated from Anaconda Central High School, class of 1955. He lived most of the time there until he moved to the Northwest in 1969. It was in this time period he met the love of his life and a few years later he and Skipper (Howes) were married on January 9, 1971 in Portland.  From this marriage they have three children. Chuck worked for many years as a mechanic and retired from VIC Alfonso Cadillac in 2002. They were members of First Immanuel Lutheran Church where he drove the shuttle bus and after retirement was the custodian.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Skipper, children: Angela Sheard, Bonnie Borwieck, Charles Bessette, Jr. and Edward Bessette, 11 grandchildren also survive him.

Private burial will be held at Columbia Memorial Garden in Scappoose.
