A memorial service for Darcy Mor Efraimson will be held at Rose City Cemetery on Monday August 11, 2008 at 2:00pm, followed by a celebration of life at his home.
Darcy died in his home on August 6, 2008. He is survived by his daughters Cari, Kim and Britt. He was affectionately referred to as Bompa by is seven grandchildren Candice, Crystal, Chloe, Hanna, Lexi, Zach and Levi. Many more children called him Bompa as well. He is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years Carol.
Darcy was born in Chicago Ill. on January 23, 1941 and grew up in N.E. Portland. He graduated from Madison High School in 1959 and has maintained close friendships with many of his school mates. He was a commercial painter and estimator. In his early years he painted bridges. After the birth of his first child, Carol made him quit bridge painting.
Darcy was a unique individual with a passion for art. His creativity is present in everything he touched. His home is a wonderful representation of his art.
Darcy was an incredible father to his children. They will always be grateful for the time they had with him. He taught them all the importance of a sense of humor and had them laughing through his illness. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
