David Weschenfelder beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend went home to be with Jesus on January 26th . He was 98 years old. David was born September 26, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois to Konrad and Elizabeth (Kirsch) Weschenfelder, one of eight children. David was raised on a farm in North Dakota and married his childhood sweetheart Emma Scharich in Montana. They were married for over 65 years before she passed away in 2003. They moved off the farm in Park City, Montana in 1947. Dave owned and operated a garbage service in the North and Northwest Portland area from 1953 – 1988. David loved his family, farming, building fishing boats, his yearly vegetable garden, fixing things, fishing the rivers and streams of the Oregon coast and loved to tinker.
Dave is survived by his son, Monty of Woodland, Washington, Grandchildren; Doug Weschenfelder of Vancouver, Washington, Julie Medeck of Bellingham, WA, Cherie Keeley (Brian) of Sammamish, WA, Great grandchildren; Zach Medeck, Madison and Cutter Keeley. Committal Services will be held at Rose City Cemetery, Portland, Oregon.
