Delores Loraine (Allmaras) Rider was born in Wells County, North Dakota on August 15th, 1921, and passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, July 30th, 2018. Dee moved to Portland Oregon in 1939 where she worked in the shipyards in Vanport during WWII. After she met her husband Dick, they operated several taverns in Portland, the most recent being the Ark on NE Killingsworth, and Cupid's Corner on Union Avenue (MLK Blvd). Dee loved to garden and kept a beautiful flower and rose garden at her home in North Portland. Dee is survived by her grandson, Richard M. Rider, great-grandson Alexander Jensen, and his sister Hadley Farlow. Dee was preceded in death by her husband and son both named Richard (Dick) Rider; sister Mae (Ray) Ortega, brothers Raymond (Dorothy) Allmaras, Lloyd (Maxine) Allmaras, Harold "Fritz" (Ellen) Allmaras; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. I private burial was held at Rose City Cemetery.
