Denise Marie Francis

On June 11th, 2021 Denise M Francis passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home, with her son by her side.

Denise also known as “Mom Dukes” or “De Ne Ne” was born March 11th, 1954. The youngest child of Lester and Dorothy Reeves. Sister to Ron Reeves & Suzanne Berg. Wife to Anthony C Francis. Mother to Casey C Francis.

Denise was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She spent her childhood years in Northeast Portland where she would attend church and grade school at Saint Rose. Amalfis dinners were a highlight to their weekend.

She graduated high school from St. Mary's Academy,  an all girls catholic high school. Later she married Anthony C. Francis in Woodland, WA. In the spring of 1983 Denise and Tony welcomed to this world a baby boy named Casey Charles Francis.

In the mid-80s Denise started working for Waremart, which later turned into Cub Foods. As we all know today as Winco Foods. She took great pride in working for the employee owned company until she retired in 2011.

Retirement life treated her well. For over a decade she was able to do lots of traveling including London, Paris, Canada and Mexico. Throughout all of her explorations Seaside, Oregon was where her heart always landed. Spending close to four months a year in her slice of heaven, she was able to build many memories with family and friends in her little cottage at the cove.

Denise will be missed by many, forgotten by none and even though her travels here were cut short, we will always carry her memory in our hearts.
