Dessie Mae Banks

Dessie loved singing, going to church and shopping. She resided in Walla Walla, WA when she met and married John A. Banks. They were married for 29 years and raised 5 children. She even lived in St. Croix, Virgin Islands, Houston, Texas and she and her sister Dora Sims also traveled to the U.S. Virgin Islands on vacation.

She relocated to Kennewick, WA where she was cared for by Rachel Rios and her grandchildren. Later she moved to Vancouver, WA, remarried John Banks in April of 2007.  She was a member of Eastern Star.

Children-Karl Banks, Walla Walla, WA; Shirley Brown, Charlotte, NC; Norman Banks, Vancouver, WA; Wanda Banks, Charlotte, NC; and Charles Banks, Vancouver, WA.

Grand children-LaMonday Brown, Detroit, MI; Dorrie Randall, Virginia; Delante' Banks, CA; Eugene Banks, Kennewick, WA; Delante' Banks, CA; D'Auria Mosley, Denver, CO;: Tasha Banks, College Place, WA; Angie Banks, Kennewick, WA: and Charlene Bovanot.

Great Grandchildren- Sade Combs, Oklahoma; Dajuan Combs, Virginia; DahJai Cowans, Detroit, MI; Alexander Lopez, Las Vegas, NV; Savon and Syann Banks, and numerous other great great grandchildren.

Dessie was the oldest of 11 children and the remaining sister Dora Sims resides in Houston, TX.
