Diane Kay Unck

Diane Wright Unck - born September 20, 1943 died September 20, 2013. She is survived by her son John Unck, her brother Gerald W. Wright, sister Judith Unck, two nieces and three nephews. Diane was born in Portland Oregon to Wilbur and Verna Wright. She lived in Portland her entire life and leaves lasting memories with many, many friends, co-workers, and neighbors. Her life was devoted to raising her son, working to ensure his education, and then her own. While her son John was still in college, Diane earned her associate degree from Mt. Hood community college and went onto earn her bachelors degree from George Fox University. Soon after, she went on to earn her masters degree, followed by a career in counseling. Diane suffered a severe stroke nearly two years ago. She passed away in a local hospital after suffering from a fall, resulting in a fractured femur that required surgery from which she never fully recovered. Her son was at her side along with a nurse at Providence hospital. She will be missed by many but never forgotten by any.
