Obituary of Donald D. Hanley
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held July 20th, 2013 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at High Rocks Restaurant and Lounge located at 915 E Arlington St. Gladstone, Oregon 97027.
Don passed away surrounded by his family's love on July 2nd after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was 69 years old.
Donald Dale Hanley was born February 1, 1944 in Portland, Oregon the 10th of 13 children of Lawrence James & Edith Linnea (Nordstrom) Hanley. He graduated from Washington High School, class of 1962 and two years later started working at Freightliner for over 40 years from 1964 until 2003 as a machinist. Don enjoyed sports, hanging out with friends while drinking a cold beer, playing golf and watching football and baseball, especially his favorite teams, the University of Oregon Ducks and the Boston Red Sox.
Don is survived by his wife; Nancy, Companion; Melissa Nance and her children Cheyanne & Dakota Nance; Children; Dawn Hanley and daughter-in-law Marlene Newman and Holly Minor and son-in-law Kevin Minor, grandchildren; Ryan & Jordan Hanley, Marisa Minor, siblings; Norman, Robert, Gilbert Hanley, Phyllis Harmel, Anita Reynolds and Donna Hanley.
