Donley G. Chandler

Mr. Donley G. Chandler was born in Portland, Oregon on June 11, 1943 to Harvey and Rausalynd Chandler. Donley was raised and educated here and had attended Jefferson High School. He served in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam Era. Donley had worked as a welder fitter with Boilermakers Local #71 at the shipyards in Portland for many years. He was the Business Manager/Secretary Treasurer for Boilermakers Local #72 for 10 years. He was a member of the YMCA and AmVets. He had served as the Executive Director of AmVets for 2 years. Donley passed away in Portland on February 7 at the age of 63 and is survived by his wife Cherie Macknight; sons: Joaquin M. Baca, Daniel G. Chandler, and Darcy A. Macknight; his brother Harvey Douglas Chandler; and by three grandchildren.
