Douglas Isaacson, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2016. Doug was born on June 8, 1956 in Portland, Oregon to Maurice and Verda Isaacson. He lived his entire life in the Portland area. He leaves behind two daughters, Alexandra and Erika Isaacson, as well as brother, Stephen Isaacson and sisters, Kari Isaacson and Kristi (Isaacson) Kuettel. Doug graduated with an Associate Degree in Business Administration from PCC where he made the President’s List at Graduation. He worked in a variety of industries during his life including food processing, aerospace, and railcar manufacturing. He spent the bulk of his career, 26 years, as the operations manager for Service Master (a commercial cleaning and maintenance service business), and the largest cleaning franchisee in the Portland Metropolitan area. Douglas’s position involved managing over 50 employees and 70 commercial accounts. Doug’s passions included music, fishing, cars, and most of all, spending time with his two beloved daughters. Most recently he was involved in creating a startup business booking gigs for local musicians. For those wishing to leave a remembrance, his family suggests donations to the Northwest Pilot Project, http://www.nwpilotproject.org/, an organization that has long been supported by all of the Isaacsons, including Doug’s parents.
