Editha Carr was born On March 6, 1956 in Iloilo, Philippines. She obtained a business administration degree and immigrated to the United States to be with her husband, William. She worked at the Post Office until her disability.
Edith was a loving wife, the best mother to Michelle, a thoughtful friend and relative, a committed parishioner of Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, a member of the El Shaddai Prayer Group and active in the Filipino American community. Edith had a green thumb and beautiful flowers and plants surround her home. She enjoyed inviting friends for home cook meals and always had extra containers for food to go. In October when the El Shaddai group had a block rosary, she was excited to have Mama Mary visit her home where she lighted scented candles and made flower arrangements. She also had a great devotion to our Lady of Guadalupe, the Holy Family and the Divine Mercy.
Edith loved her husband, William, very much. She told everyone that she prayed for a husband and God gave William to her. Michelle, her daughter, was the apple of her eyes. She said that she would do everything so she would have a good future. She had one brother and relatives in the Philippines whom she shared whatever blessings she had.
Editha passed away on May 19, 2008 in Portland, Oregon and is survived by her husband William E. Carr; her daughter Michelle J. Carr; her brother Jesus Justiniani; and a host of other relatives and friends.
