Edward Bruce Aust passed away March 10th, 2015 after a spirited battle with cancer. He was 73.
He was born March 30, 1941 in Portland, the eldest son of Ed and Katherine Aust. He was raised in Northeast Portland, attending Vernon Elementary and graduating from Jefferson High School Class of 1959.
Edward served in the United States Marine Corp during the Viet Nam war era and was proud of being distinguished as a "Marksman" on the shooting range and a machine gun instructor.
He earned an Associate Degree from Portland Community College. He was employed for many years at Hanna Car Wash.
Edward was greatly interested in the American West, enjoying many western movies and amassing a library of several hundred western novels and history books.
He is survived by his brothers Robert of Corvallis, John of Vancouver, WA, James of Portland, and sister Barbara of Portland.
Internment will be at Willamette National Cemetery. A funeral service with full military honors will be on March 17, 2015 at 11am. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
