Eva Margaret Brantley was born in Clay Center Kansas on December 6, 1920, the daughter of Arthur E. and Dagnie Klintberg. The family moved to Portland when Eva was a young girl, and she received her education here, graduating from Jefferson High School. Eva was the head payroll clerk for Sears and Roebuck in Portland for 28 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, as well as playing and listening to the piano. Eva was a people person and loved being around and interacting with people. She passed away on January 19, 2009 at the age of 88. She is survived by her sons and daughter in laws: Dennis and Mollie Brantley of Eugene, Oregon, Dwayne and Joyce Brantley of Beaverton, Oregon, David and Claudia Brantley of Vancouver, Washington; her sister: Dorothy Swafford of Portland, Oregon; Seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
