Angie was born in Chicago, IL to Walter and Ester Bauer. Older brothers Walter and Daniel, younger brothers Thomas and Everett.
Angie married Philip 'Flip' R. Leone May 9, 1953 in Portland, OR by a judge then the next day flew to Chicago so Flip could finish his tour of duty in the Navy. While in Chicago they were re-married Nov 16, 1953 by a priest in the catholic church, and a month later Angie received the church's blessing after she was baptized. Flip would always say that he married Angie 3 times.
They moved back to Portland, OR June 1955 to raise their family and in June of 1956 they bought their home in northeast Portland, and spent the rest of their lives here.
Mother of four: Karen, Faith (Tom), Rorie (Jan), Lenny. Grandmother of four: Chris, Shawn, Caitlin and Cassie. Great-grandmother of three: Noah, Colby and Isaac.
Angie liked to crochet and made afghans, doilies and doll clothes. Loved animals, especially cats !!! Liked Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Dean Martin. Favorite movies: Jolson Story and White Christmas. Enjoyed celebrating birthdays at restaurants and baking for the holidays.
Angie was preceded in death by her husband, Flip, and oldest daughter, Karen. A private service is scheduled, as no public service is planned. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Dove Lewis in her honor.
