OBITUARY
Florence Victoria Scates died at 85 years of age in Portland, Oregon on the 20th day of September, in the year of 2013. At her request, there will be no service.
Flo was born to Peter Charles and Georgine Anna (Fawns) Ogilvie in Vaudreuil, Quebec, Canada on May 24, 1928.
Raised and educated in Montreal, Quebec, Flo lived in the United States since 1960 and in Portland, Oregon since 1969. By profession she was a switchboard operator.
One of four children, Flo was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Ogilvie, her sister, Irene Goundan, and in 1991 by her husband, Charles (Chuck) Scates.
Flo is survived by her sister, Jacqueline Dhut, as well as several nieces and nephews all residing in British Columbia and Alberta Canada. She also leaves many close friends and acquaintances with warm memories of her caring, generous, and humorous outlook on life.
Remembrances may be sent to Shriners Hospital for Children (Portland), OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital, the Oregon Humane Society, or the Make A Wish Foundation for Children (Portland).
