Florine O'Dell Bryant

Florine O'Dell Bryant of Portland, Oregon (Born March 4, 1926) joined our heavenly father peacefully on December 7, 2016 at 90 years of age.

Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held at St. Stephan's Catholic Church. Rosary will be Friday, December 16th, 2016 at 6:00PM, and Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 17th, 2016 at 1:00PM

She is preceded in death by her husband Bruce Boone Bryant, sons-Daniel Bryant, Jeffrey Bryant, and Randal Bryant.

She is survived by Jim and Terry Bryant of Rockaway, Oregon, Robert Bryant, Richard Bryant, Maryanne Robins, Anne Marie Farrell, Wendy & Bryan Bryant-Giles of Portland, Oregon, Joanne Bryant of Olympia Washington and Suzanne & Phillip Berikoff of Ottawa Ontario Canada. Florine was blessed with 16 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren.

Florine's unwavering Faith in God and her mission to service through various avenues for many years working for the Archdiocese of Portland Oregon for over 20 years, in the Audio Visual Department, only joining the work force after her youngest daughter started school. From volunteering at St, Francis Assis's in various capacities, then Saint Stephen's Elementary School teaching and preparing the students for their First Communion and Consummation. As well up until Florine became ill in late September 2016 was active for numerous years in visiting people on a weekly basis that were not able to attend church service, allowing them to receive proper communion and prayer.

Florine always had a passion for gardening and flowers. She was a member of a local garden club and if there was ever a day that she had to decide between housework and yard work you would always find her outside.

Florine also enjoyed going to the Oregon Symphony & Theater for many years.

Her eyes always lit up when her grandchildren or great-grandchildren would walk through the door or a room.

While the family and friends have been left behind grieving our loss, Florine has after 22 years been reunited with her husband Bruce Bryant in Heaven, along with her 3 sons.
