Frederik Anthonius Stupers

Fred (OPA) was born on October 12, 1930 in Jakarta, Indonesia. After WWII in December 1950 he and his family left for the Netherlands (Holland) where he met Connie in 1951 and later married her in September 1953. They had their eldest daughter, Maria and in 1961, they immigrated to the United States. Starting their new life in Buffalo, New York, where Fred worked for the Ford Motor Company. Then not liking the cold winters they moved to Oakland, California, where he worked for the White House Department Store. Deciding to look for better opportunities they moved the family to Oregon settling in Portland and having their youngest daughter Monique. In Portland he worked for 22 years for Hyster Corporation and 12 years for Oregon Cutting Systems.


Fred enjoyed camping at the beach and in central Oregon, he was always looking forward to the yearly family campout with his daughters and grandkids. His days were spent keeping up with his "Number Ones", Great Grandkids, Jacob and "Princess" Bella. During the summer he could be found sitting on the front porch waving at passer bys and chatting with his neighbors.

Fred is survived by his wife, Connie of 55 years, Daughters, Maria (Patty) and Monique both of Portland; Sisters, Ilse , Trees and Meity; Brothers, Eddy, Guus, Emile and Benny all from Holland; Granddaughter Audra and Great Grandkids, Jacob and Bella
