Gail Denise Wetherbee

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gail Denise Wetherbee.

Cherished Daughter, Mother, Sister, Favorite Auntie, Cousin, and BFF to many. Gail’s life was filled with many adventures. Born in Corvallis OR, she lived in Green Bay WI, Fairfield CT, and Huntington Beach CA, before settling back home in Oregon. She was “The Best Athlete in the Family” according to some, having played Volleyball, Tennis, and Field Hockey at the college level, before coaching many teams and sports. She earned her degree at Lewis and Clark College, after attending Golden West College and Mt Hood Community College. She taught in the Portland Public Schools for her entire career of 30+ years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Sara Hite Memorial Rose Garden in Milwaukie OR on September 8th from 1:00pm - 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in her name to The Oregon Humane Society or Schoolhouse Supplies of Portland.
