George Williams was born on August 25, 1944 in Portland, Oregon to the union of Jerry Williams and Ella Anderson. Soon after graduating from David Douglas High School, he attended the University of Oregon where he earned his Bachelor Degree in accounting. After graduating from the U of O he got an office job at the Pagent Mortgage Company working with numbers. George had also worked at the Portland International Airport, working in Security. After he retired he worked part-time at various jobs, until health issues forced him to stop.
George married Geraldine, and to this union two children were born, Gerald and Eulanda. He later married Barbara, who preceded him in death. He married Courtenay Johnson on October 19, 1990 in Vancouver, Washington.
George enjoyed going to the beach, going to the movies, and attending church. He joined Christ Memorial COGIC under the leadership of Pastor Roy L. Tate, and later joined the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor A. Wayne Johnson. At Morning Star, George was ordained as a Deacon, and was a member of the Male Chorus and the Mass Choir.
George was called home to be with the Lord on September 20, 2010 in Vancouver, Washington at the age of 66 years. He leaves to celebrate his Homegoing his wife Courtenay; his children: Gerald and Eulanda Williams; his sisters: Jackie and Sharon Cuie; and a host of other relatives and many, many friends. May our loss be Heaven's gain.
