Georgia Ann Connor

Georgia Ann Connor, nee Gebhard was born in 1929, in Racine, WI  to George J. and Ruby D. Gebhard. She attended high school in Racine, WI. During her high school days she worked as a nurse's aid, evening and weekends, for 5 years at St. Luke's Hospital in Racine, WI.

In 1954, she and her then husband Eugene Connor moved to Portland, Oregon with their son, Jeffery.

Georgia is preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Gebhard and Elaine Miller both from Racine WI.

She is survived by her elder sister Carolyn Gebhard of L.A., CA; son Jeffery A Connor (Julia Connor daughter-in-law), daughter Julie Sonnenburg (Marvin A Sonnenburg husband); grandchildren Jesse Sonnenburg and Heather Chis and 3 great grandchildren Sebastien, Mackenzie and Stella Chis.

She worked at Product Development Corp., first as a mailroom clerk then on to receptionist before retiring. In her younger days she enjoyed fun in the sun with her girl friends on the shore of Lake Michigan. She also enjoyed meeting weekly with her friends to study God's word and go out to lunch. She loved to garden and her specialty was roses, which she tried to pass on to me these last 3 years, but alas I don't have the touch and black spot is my enemy. [������]  Oh and yes, how could I forget, she was a Packer fan! And no one can ever replace Brett Favre no matter what team he played for he will always remain a Green Bay Packer in her book. [������]

A private interment was held Friday, February 2nd, at Rose City Cemetery.

Any memorials can be made to Grace Lutheran Church missionary fund or to Grace Lutheran School. She loved it when the kids came and sang Christmas Carols.
