Georgia May Mikolavich

December 12, 1926 — March 30, 2011

Georgia May was born in Portland, Oregon to William and Pauline Hendrick at her great-aunt and uncle Browning's house. She attended Girls Polytechnic High School and graduated in 1945. She met Donald Mikolavich in 1948 and their union brought them a daughter, Anita.
Georgia and Donald built their home in S.E. Portland where she lived until just prior to her death. They traveled throughout Europe in 1956 and loved to dance in the ballrooms of Portland.
She worked in the Fred Meyer office and eventually became secretary to Earle Chiles, President and C.E.O.. She also worked for twelve years at Imperial Tour and Travel as a travel agent and office manager and had a passion for travel and a gift for organization.
Georgia was preceded in death by her husband Donald Mikolavich and her daughter, Anita Fry. She is survived by her two grandsons Eric and Gregory Fry, her Son in Law Timothy Fry, sister Katherine Smith, brother Fred Kiely, and numerous extended family members. She will be remembered as a cherished presence to her family and friends.
