Glenn Armstrong was born in Hattiesburg, MS to the union of Willie and Clytie
Armstrong. In 1971 his mother relocated with him and his two sisters to Portland, OR
where he lived for the remainder of his life. He attended Martin Luther King Grade
school and graduated from John Adams High School. Glenn departed this life on March
18, 2025 at the age of 64.
Glenn worked as a welder for Gunderson, Custodial at PPS, and 17 1/2 years at
Clackamas Community College until retirement. In his free time Glenn enjoyed fishing
and a good football game.
He is survived by his siblings: Clifton Gaddis (Vancouver, WA); Tony Armstrong
(Richton, MS); Billy Armstrong (Petal, MS); Jean Brown (Franklin), Portland, OR and
Nina Jean Armstrong (Richton, MS) and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended
family and friends.
Glenn was preceded in death by his father and mother, three sisters: Evelyn Portis,
Shirley Bolds, Loletia Armstrong, and his loving grandparents, George and Eloise
Peterson.
He is loved and will be missed by a host of friends, acquaintances, and co-workers.
