Grant Robinson was born in Portland to Kenneth Robinson and Ruth Carleson Robinson. He has lived in Portland all his life.
He attended Beaumont Grade School, US Grant High School, and the University of Oregon earning a BS in Journalism.
While finishing his senior year at the U of O he began working for the Oregon State Bar Association. He worked for ODOT for 15 years, most recently as a Land Use Planner.
He was a beloved and loving son, brother, and uncle. He had a wide circle of friends. He cared about the environment, caring for the earth, and volunteered for many groups. He presently is the citizen volunteer on the Multnomah County Local Professional Responsibility Committee for 2009 for the Oregon State Bar. He loved to travel and experience other cultures.
His life took an unpleasant turn after he was rear-ended on I-5 in November 2006. Since then he had been making a slow recovery and was hoping to regain more of his former activities.
His parents, his sister Victoria Robinson, brother-in-law Todd Miller, nephews, Benjamin Miller, Sebastian Miller, and Flynn Miller survive Grant.
