OBITUARY
H.B. Scott, Sr., also known as Henry Buck Scott, Sr. was born to the late Henry Daniel Scott, Sr. and Mary Dickson Scott on August 14, 1939 in Lake Providence, Louisiana. H.B. was the sixth child of nine and one of six boys.
He attended Boise Elementary and Benson High Schools. He was well known as a good football player, his favorite position was Linebacker. H.B. received a football trophy which adorns the halls of Benson High School today! Upon graduating from high school H.B. entered the Army; he was later employed by Good Samaritan Hospital as a cook; he was also employed by Multnomah County as a janitor; he worked for Coast Janitorial Service the family business in sales; he later pursued his passion as an entrepreneur owning several businesses over the years including Pacific Janitorial Services for over 25 years. He also was an ordained minister with The Church of Golden Light.
H.B. was a man who kept to himself, but when around the family he was well liked and loved; he lit up the room with his warm smile and infectious laughter. He was very charming, especially with the women. H.B. loved sports; he coached Little League Baseball where he coached his sons Henry, Jr. and Reggie. He had true compassion for others; he would always say "I love you."
His parents Henry D. Scott, Sr. and Mary Dickson Scott; brothers Manuel, Henry Daniel, and Albert Scott; his son Reggie Scott and grandson's: Walter Jones, Jr. and Johnnie Williams, Jr. all preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his sisters Bernice Noble (James), Ethel Love, and Shirley McCoy; brothers: Samuel and Terry Scott; sister-in-law Elnetta Scott (Albert Scott, Sr.); his children: James Scott-Shaw, MarQui Scott, Carol Scott, Sherry Babatude, Henry B. Scott, Jr. (Tracy), Angela Scott, Jessica Scott all of Portland, OR; and Anthony Scott of Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren; and a host of niece's, nephew's, cousins, and friends.
