Ida Paula Davies

Ida Paula Feyring was born June 23, 1910, in Portland to Christina and Jens Feyring who had emigrated from Denmark.
In 1940 she met Bevan Davies, on a blind date. They were married in Immaculate Heart Catholic Church Nov. 13, 1940. A dedicated wife and mother, Ida was known for her wonderful Danish cooking. She enjoyed life with a positive outlook and a great sense of humor. She is survived by two daughters, Chris Tanner (Duncan) of Livermore, CA, and Peggy Hastings (Roger) of Ridgeland, MS, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her husband "Bev" passed away in 1988.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 5310 NE 42nd Avenue, Portland. Viewing will be at the church from 10 a�" 11. Entombment will be in Rose City Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Catholic Charities, 2740 SE Powell Blvd. #1, Portland, OR 97202, or to the charity of choice.
