Jackie, age 54, died peacefully at home under hospice care after a brief battle with cancer. She faced her illness with great courage and strength and is forever with her Lord in heaven. Born in Portland, she attended Rose City Elementary, Madison High School, and Oregon State University. Jackie was a legal assistant at the law firm of Davis Rothwell where they loved her as much as she loved her work.
Jackie served as a volunteer for The Oregon Food Bank for several years teaching cooking classes, worked tirelessly at the annual Letter Carriers Food Drive, and The Waterfront Blues Festival. She was a frequent American Red Cross blood and platelets donor and was always ready to lend a helping hand to family, friends and co-workers.
Jackie enjoyed knitting, stained glass work, gardening, cooking, and antique collecting. She loved travelling to Puerto Vallarta, Maui, and Yuma, AZ to visit her snowbird parents. She was passionate about everything she did and loved life to its fullest.
She is survived by her husband Phillip Rosebrook, her parents Jack and Lois Gerlach, her sons Mitchel and Alexander Fearing, her sister Jill Spinks and family, and many loving friends. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, spouse, and friend. We will all miss her greatly.
A Celebration of Life and memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 16th at Montavilla United Methodist Church at 2PM to be followed by a reception. The church is located at 232 SE 80th Av, Portland, OR, 97215.
