Jacquelyn Venable

June 3, 1953 — August 15, 2017

Jacquelyn Ann Venable, 64, Portland, Oregon passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. Born June 3, 1953 in Spokane, Washington, she was the daughter of the late Dale Hobbs and Mary Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ken Venable; only daughter Jenelle Wildeman and her husband; sisters, Linda Venable and Casey Phillips; brother Danny Hobbs; grandchildren, Jenna and Joshua Wildeman and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Jacquie was a long time resident of Portland where she lived happily in the Cully neighborhood for over 40 years with the love of her life, and only child. Family was the heart of her existence. She was a loving, caring, compassionate soul that would do anything for anyone and expect nothing in return. She was employed with Albertsons for over 20 years, and was best known as the flower lady. Jacquie loved all flowers, and made the best arrangements in town. She enjoyed camping, fishing(not eating them just reeling them in), gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed, and her love for life will continue to shine through family and friends.

Services and burial  will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, August 18, 2017 at Rose City Cemetery in Portland, Oregon with reception to follow immediately after in Chapel.
