James A. Allen

James Allen was born 10-30-39 in Linden, Texas to the late R.P. & Inez Allen.  He confessed Christ at an early age.  He became a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  He graduated from Fairview High School in Linden, Texas.  In 1959, he moved to Portland, OR.  In 1960, he united with Vancouver Ave First Baptist Church.  In his early years, he worked at the Benson Hotel & then was a merchant seaman for a number of years.  He was employed by Pacific Maritime Association as a longshoreman for 20 years.  He leaves to mourn his passing his long time companion, Carole Rudolph; brother Willis O. Allen (Lillian); nephew, Gregory R. Allen (Christina); nieces Susan F. Harper (Michael Sr.) & Beverly Coleman; 4 great nieces, 3 great nephews & a host of aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.
