Janet Mary Rusch

Janet Mary Rusch passed into Heaven September 26, 2009. Janet was born in Portland to Bertha and Frank Novak and she attended St. Johns of Milwaukie Catholic School and St. Mary of the Valley High School in Beaverton. She made her home in Portland.
Janet and her husband, Dale, ran a successful metal fabrication business, Rusch and Son Metal Fab, and they retired in 2005.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, Janet was a very thoughtful person and caregiver to many. Longtime friends and family members remember Janet as someone who always thought of others before herself.
Janet, along with her husband Dale devoted their lived to their children's activities, including Little League Baseball, church and school activities at St. Rose Catholic Church and School.
Janet will be greatly missed and is survived by her daughter Brenda Harvey; son, Brian Rusch; son-in-law, Tyrone Harvey; daughter-in-law, Kim Rusch; sister, Carol Apple; brothers, Richard Novak and Fr. Norbert Novak; brother-in-law, Bill Apple; sister-in-law, Judi Novak; three grandchildren, and a niece and a nephew.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, September 30 at Rose City Funeral Home, 5625 NE Fremont St. and the Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 1, 2009 at St. Rose Catholic Church, 2727 NE 54th Ave.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Providence Portland Pastoral Services.
