Janice Virginia Jackson

Graveside Services will be held for Janice Jackson, 12:30PM, Friday, February 22nd at Willamette National Cemetery. Mrs. Jackson passed away on February 9th in Portland; she was 100 years of age.
Janice Virginia was born on August 29, 1912 at St. Louis, Missouri, the 2nd of three daughters born to Walter Edwards and Daisy M. (Bland) Whitaker. She married Herman Virgil Jackson on October 11, 1930 at Venice, California and traveled the world together while he served in the United States Navy for 29 years. They were together in Pearl Harbor on December 7th of 1941 and she served our country as an office clerk before, and after the attack. The family moved to Portland in 1955. Herman pre-deceased her in 2009.
Janice is survived by her children; Virginia Lee Wells of Santa Monica, Ca and Eileen Ann O'Rourke of Portland. 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Pre-deceased by son; Robert Wayne Jackson & sisters: Bernice and Bettye Whitaker.
