Jerome “Jerry” Anthony Bockmore
April 13, 1954 – April 22, 2014
Jerry was born in Tacoma, Washington to parents Anthony and Viola Bockmore.
He had many talents, and hobbies including brewing beer, cooking, repairing cars—and anything else that needed fixing, traveling, reading and spending time with family and friends.
He attended Bates Trade School in Tacoma, Washington, Portland Community College, and the University of California, Davis.
He was a professional micro-brewer for many years. He was also a member of the Master Brewers Association of the Americas, and a long-time member of the NRA.
Jerry met his wife, Lennie, in San Francisco in 1980, and moved to Oregon to be with her. The couple were married December 4, 1980.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Viola. He is survived by his wife, Lennie Bockmore née Sfakianos; sisters, Patricia Bench of Spokane, WA, Kathy Call of Tacoma, WA; Uncle Stan Strbac of Cucamonga, CA; nieces Debra Erickson of Lakewood, WA, Lisa Bench and Danielle Bench of Spokane, WA and Amber D. Carlin and Mikayla Call of Tacoma, WA, and Stefanie Tennant of KS; nephews Shawn L. Carlin of Tacoma, WA, David, Daniel and Robert Bench of San Francisco, CA, James Bench of Spokane, WA, Jeff Call of Tacoma, WA, Mike Call and Daniel Hovdenes of Missoula, MT; grand-nephews Jared and Logan Carlin, Charles Healy, mother-in-law Lois Cole of Portland, OR; brother-in-law Steve Sfakianos of New York, NY; and his beloved cats Moe, Larry and Curly.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
