Joanne Maurine Connall

November 22, 1930 – November. 3, 2014

Joanne Connall-Lawrence, 83, passed away peacefully, with her beloved husband, Tom by her side.  She was born Joanne Maurine Harris on Nov. 22, 1930.  She is survived by her husband, Tom Lawrence, her children, Desmond Connall, Jr., Catherine Connall Nyland, Timothy Connall, and Karen Suthard.  Her daughter, Shannon Connall passed away in 2013.  Joanne served on many civic boards in the community, including the Oregon Symphony and was a board member at Mt. Hood Community College from 1975 to 1983.  People knew her as a go-getter and a doer.  She spent many years working as a Realtor in the Portland and Gresham area.  Her first love was her entire family of children and grandchildren and she was immensely proud of each of them.  She retired to Keizer, Oregon to be close to her grandchildren.  Her baking skills were legendary and her hobbies included playing cards, reading and travelling the world with her devoted husband, Tom. Join us to celebrate the life of our wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. Viewing will be held from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, Sun., Nov. 09 ^th at Rose City Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 12:30 pm, Mon., Nov. 10 ^th at Unity of Portland, 4525 SE Stark, Portland, OR. Reception and committal service will follow.
