Joshua Allen Banks-Hankins

Joshua Allen Banks-Hankins was born November 1, 1985 in Portland, Oregon to Virginia Hankins and Nicholas Allen Banks lll.

Joshua attended Sabin Elementary School, Whitaker Middle School and graduated from Jefferson High School.  Additionally, he attended Paul Quinn University in Dallas, Texas and Tyler Community College in Tyler, Texas. In his early years he excelled in track and field, football, and basketball.

Josh never met a stranger, he showed compassion and love to every person he met. Josh always had encouraging messages to share with family and friends. It was a rare occasion to see Josh without a smile on his face. He had an unmoving love for his Sons, family, and friends. He is known for his enormous heart, protective traits, upbeat spirit, and positive attitude.

He took pleasure in attending his sons basketball games and spoke highly of their athletic abilities.

In his spare time, he enjoyed muscle cars, motorcycles, traveling, hiking, going to the gym, spending time with family & friends, and indulging in the finer things in life.
Joshua is survived by his Sons: Nehemiah Da’Ron Bentubo and Joshua Allen Crane-Banks; Mother: Virginia Hankins; Dad: Danny Hankins Sr.; Father: Nicholas Allen Banks lll; Sister: Virginia Hankins; Brothers: Danny Hankins Jr., Nicholas (Rachel) Allen Banks IV, Lushon Banks and Donnie Green; Godparents: Carol and Billy Bates and Janella Wesby; as well as a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, other relatives and friends.   He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Irving Brown Sr. and Nicholas Allen Banks Jr; Grandmother Virginia Jennie Brown; multiple Aunts and Uncles.
