A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., Sat., April 20th, 2013 at MOBILE ESTATES Rec Hall (next to the office), located at 16745 S.E. Division in Portland, OR. Judy passed away in Portland on March 25th, she was 69 years old.
Judith Lorraine Dietz, the second of three daughters, was born to Clarence (Barney) and Ethel (Hindley) Barnett on June 19th, 1943 in Portland, OR. As a child, Judy enjoyed spending time fishing with her father. She spoke about late nights searching for night crawlers on evenings before the fishing trips. Judy graduated in 1961 from Jefferson High School in Portland. In December 1961, she married Larry Keith Dietz in Portland at Holy Redeemer church.
She loved bowling, spending time at the beach, listening to Neil Diamond, her cats (Jakey, Susie, Buster, Jerome, Persia and many more over the years), watching old movies, playing cards, spending time with her children and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
In her last days, family members gathered and shared some of their favorite memories with Judy, laughter and tears were shared by all. Judy came to rest on March 25th in the comfort of her home, which she shared with her granddaughter Amber, surrounded by the love of her family. Judy was 69.
Judy is survived by her two sisters, Joanne Fisher and Carolyn Hyde; her 4 children, Elissa Gilmore, Paul Dietz, Amy Adams and Sara(h) Barnard; her 10 grandchildren, Michael, Samantha, Joey, Amber, Ricky, Duncan, Devin, Stella, Jasper and Josie; 3 great-grandchildren, David, Nyah and Cassandra; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
