Judy Schatz

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judy M. Schatz on February 14th, 2021.

Judy, a life-long Oregon native was born on August 28th, 1940 to parents Jim and Augusta Amodeo.  Judy graduated in 1958 from Washington High School in Portland, and married Stanley Schatz on December 2nd, 1962.  Judy worked for many years at both Portland Community College and Union Pacific Railroad.   Judy was loved by everyone who knew her.  She was warm, kind, funny, and would instantly make you feel at ease when you were with her.  She loved staying active through exercise classes, spending time with her family and dogs, cooking amazing Italian food, traveling, enjoying vintage TV shows, and attending church at St. Ignatius Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Stan.  She is survived by her sons David, Steven, and Rick (Leanne), her granddaughter, Josie Schatz, her sister Jean Amodeo, her brother Phil Amodeo, her sister-in-law Jan (Bill) Meadows, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date in Portland, OR where she will be laid to rest at the Rose City Cemetery.
