June Ethel (Jernes) Torkildsen

June E. Torkildsen was born in Portland and died here at the age of 93.  She graduated from Jefferson High School and lived her entire life in Portland, apart from when she attended Pacific Lutheran University.  She married her late husband, Walter Torkildsen, on April 27th, 1946.  Much of her working life was spent at the IRS.  She loved her family and friends and spending time at the beach.  June is survived by her son John, daughter Betsy, grandson Michael, two nieces and extended family and friends.
