Kathleen Marie Behrend

Kathleen Marie Cardwell was born in Stevensville, Montana to Henry David and Lillian Catherine Cardwell nee Menard. She married John F. Behrend on May 5th, 1944 in Portland, Oregon. The couple raised four children: William, John, Janice and David. Kathleen worked in many Portland area Hospitals as a dietician. She recently moved to Hillsboro, Oregon, where she was able to spend time with her family in the Portland area.
Kathleen is survived by her children: William R. and Pat Behrend of Belton, Missouri, John F. and Son Hee Behrend of South Korea, Janice and Charles Dunten of Drewsey, Oregon, and David M. Behrend and Steve Mills of Portland, Oregon. She is also survived by Pat Jones of Riverside, California, Ron Cardwell of Salt Lake City, Utah, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Kathleen's sense of humor and unique personality touched everyone she met, and left a legacy of stories and memories shared by those who knew her. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends. Kathleen will be interred in Pilot Butte Cemetery in Bend, Oregon, with her husband John.
