Kirk Karambelas passed away peacefully in the presence of family and close friends.
Kirk was born in Arna, Greece 90 years ago. In 1956, he traveled to the US for a better life and married Barbara Vassilakos in New York in 1958. They made their home in Portland and raised their family. He was employed by Portland Bottling Company for 31 years and retired in 1986.
Kirk is survived by Barbara, his wife of 54 years, son Randy (Lori), daughter Linda Karafotias (Nick) and grandchildren, Jeffrey and Elizabeth.
Trisagion at 7:00 PM, May 31, 2012 and funeral service at 11:00 AM, June 1, 2012, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral Endowment Fund.
