Laverne M. Setera

Laverne was born September 8, 1925 in Portland, Oregon. As a child, her parents moved to Vancouver, British Columbia where she attended grade school and high school. As young women, she moved back to Portland and worked as lab and x-ray technician for many years. She met the love of her life, Roger Setera, while both attending Western States Chiropractic College in 1965. They were married on February 28th, 1969. Laverne assisted Roger in their chiropractic practice. As an avid gardener, she was instrumental in the founding of the Risley Landing Garden Club. Being an accomplished singer, she was a member of the Sweet Adelides singing group and others. After retirement, Laverne traveled extensively with Roger. Some of her favorite trips were to China, Greece, and Turkey. They last few years she traveled much of the Western United States with Roger in their van; lovingly referred to as "Vannella". Laverne is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Roger Setera, a son, Douglas from Portland, a daughter, Rochelle from Oregon City, son-in-law Bob Feltz from Beavercreek, and the apple of her eye, grandson Skye Feltz of Oak Grove, and many loving family and friends. There will be a private internment March 1st, followed by an open reception at the Setera's home from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, she would have liked you to donate to your favorite charity.
