Obituary
On November 1, 1925 the world was blessed with a special gift named Lela Mae Camel. This blessing was born to Ross Hart, Sr. and Claracy Clewis Hart in Palestine Texas. This beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother with a heart of gold would go on to touch the hearts and souls of everyone she met.
At a young age, she successfully graduated from Barber College in Oklahoma where she met John B. Camel Sr. From their union, nine beautiful children were born.
During World War II, Lela and her devoted husband moved to Vancouver, WA to work at the shipyard. After John's untimely passing, she obtained employment through The Metropolitan Home Makers in The Children's Services Department
After retirement from Metropolitan Home Makers, she helped raise her grand children, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She also loved working in her garden as a hobby; she grew everything from carnations and peonies to roses and snapdragons. Her special touch with growing beautiful flowers is a reminder of her adoring love for her family and loved ones.
Lela was preceded in death by her two loving parents; Ross Hart Sr., and Claracy Clewis Hart, her devoted husband, John B. Camel Sr., her beloved sons Warren Camel, Albert Camel, John B. Camel Jr., Robert Earl Camel, and Charles Edward Camel, and her dear daughters Barbara Ann Camel and Mary Louise Camel.
Her memory lives on in the hearts of her children: John B. Camel, Ella Mae Bolton, and Gloria Jean Camel; her grandchildren:; Anthony Camel, Jozette Marie Camel, Shanell Camel, India Hall-McKnight, Nina Alexis, Trina Camel, LaSheba Camel and Hezekiah Bolton II; her sisters: Lula Woodard, Cammie Black, Lynda Simpson, Pattie Sue Thomas, Virginia Hart, Rose Lee Ruffin; her brother Johnny Hart and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
