Bishop Leroy Bradford, Sr.
Bishop Leroy Bradford, Sr passed from this life joining the great coronation on, June 29th, 2014 in Portland, Oregon, he was 88 years old. Born in Saline, Louisiana July 1, 1925 to Cornelius and Mary (Martin) Bradford, and the second youngest of nine children. He married March 21, 1948 in Saline, LA, they moved out to Portland a year later. He served and attended The Church of the Living God P.G. of T for over 62 years. He also worked for the Portland Veteran’s Administration Hospital and retired from Gerber Knives’ Manufacturing as a Maintenance Engineer.
Bishop Bradford did the Lord’s work for over 62 years and through his service he was blessed to touch many lives through the word of God and the ministry of song. To all that knew him, he will be remembered for his love of God first and then his family.
He is survived by his children: Leroy Bradford, Jr, Vernesta Adams, Claricce Parker, Charneal Scott, Charlie Bradford, Vernell Gibson, 14 Grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, sister: Lillie Mae Spates and a host of other relatives. Predeceased by his siblings, daughter: Flora Idell Bradford in 2010.
A Celebration of his life will be held at, 11am, Friday, July 11th at Highland Christian Center with Committal and Military Honors at Willamette National Cemetery to follow 11:00am on Monday, July 14th.
